Just type the name, add one space, and then type the number. Then space once and type the page number for that chapter. Click on the icon that is now to the left of the date and select ABC - Extended. Type in the name of your first chapter. Go to System Preferences -> Keyboard -> Input Sources and add ABC - Extended in the Input Sources, make sure you tick the box for ‘Show Input menu in menu bar’ too.If you have used separate numbering for your cover page and TOC (such as Roman numerals) and used page one as the start of the text, then you should still be fine with the additional page and won't need to adjust. Take this into account when numbering pages in the TOC. Want to change some text on a webpage You can do that with a handy feature built into Firefox, Safari, and Google Chrome: Inspect Element. Note: when you insert a new page for the TOC, it’s going to add a page to the overall document and throw off any existing pagination.Go to the beginning of your paper and insert a blank page for the TOC, which should come after the title page.Of course, you can also minimize a single app window to the Dock, as explained below. Or just press Command-H while the app is in the foreground. An easier approach is to Option-click the Desktop, any other app window, or any icon in the Dock. You don't want to make any changes once you create a TOC, because any edits in the body of the paper afterward could make your table of contents inaccurate. Click the app’s Dock icon again to reveal the hidden app.
